Serekunda Market

The market in the largest city of Gambia, Serekunda, is an experience in itself. At the market you can literally buy anything: from (real looking) fake Rolex watches to used empty jerrycans and from slippers to goats. On this market, the locals get their shopping and when you have done yours, you can just sit down along the side and watch all the other people. Don’t be surprised when the Gambians negotiate a purchase or when a newly purchased goat is taken home in the back of a taxi.
